Cristy Houghton, Marketing Specialist & Graphic and website Designer
Cristy Houghton’s unique career has taken her from country NSW to the city lights of Clarendon Street South Melbourne and back again. With an early career in radio as a copywriter and creative strategist, she is now a Jill of all trades as a graphic designer, website builder, blog writer, video editor, social media manager, marketing strategist and more.
With 9 years’ experience in radio within copywriting and broader strategy roles with dmg Radio, the Australian Radio Network and Austereo, she has had the opportunity to influence and implement the marketing activities of a range of national clients including Cadbury, realestate.com.au, NAB, Victorian Government and many more. Her senior strategist role within Austereo involved the generation of multi-platform promotional concepts using traditional media, as well as innovative ways to use new and social media channels to deliver fresh solutions for Austereo clients.
With two Australian Commercial Radio Awards to her name, a Bachelor of Business (Marketing), and a mad coffee addiction, Cristy made the tree change back to her home town, where she launched her own creative and marketing agency which works with local businesses to overhaul and modernise their brand, develop intensive marketing strategies, refresh and relaunch their website, grow their engagement via a consistent social media strategy and align their digital and traditional media with clear brand consistency.
Cristy is also an executive committee member for Wagga Rail Trail Inc and Women in Business Wagga Wagga Inc.
Cristy and her husband have traveled extensively through Russia, China, Japan, Ecuador, Peru and South East Asia, and have two fur-babies, Sooty (cat) and Panda (puppy). Cristy loves drinking coffee and meeting people to drink coffee. She also enjoys road trips, TED Talks and watching cat videos on youtube.
When not in the office, you're likely to find James perched atop a local hill, taking incredible landscape photos of the region. With a passion for capturing visual media for use across digital and social platforms, James is also an Instagram expert, and works across a variety of projects including websites and social media.
James has played for Lake Albert Hockey Club for 7 years, and enjoys exploring new regions with his camera in hand.
